Apart from our skin, our hair suffers the most damage during winters. So, taking care of your skin alone wont do, make sure you take care of your beautiful locks to avoid permanent damage. Cold air makes hair dry, brittle and prone to breakage. It is said that prevention is better than care, so start your winter haircare regime even before winter arrives.
Use these 5 easy tips to make sure your hair does not suffer this winter.
1.Keep it lukewarm
Everybody knows that taking a shower with cold water is not the most sensible thing to do during winter, but everyone also knows that hot water can damage their hair. So the best thing to do would be to only use lukewarm water during showers. It helps retain the moisture in the hair and does not damage it.
2.Conditioning is a must
You do not sweat as much during winters, so your scalp is tend to become dry and your hair might start feeling frizzy and dull. Mildly shampoo you hair and condition it well to lock the moisture in until the next wash. Add coconut milk to your routine, just rinse your hair with coconut milk and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Post which you can wash it off with water. This will leave your hair feeling soft and nourished.
No amount of stress can ever be put on this step. Oiling you hair can save you from a lot of trouble. It helps with the regulation of blood circulation and keeps the scalp moisturised.
4.Limit the use of styling equipments
Try avoiding these equipments as much as possible as they use heat as their base, which can make your hair woes worse during winter. If you can not avoid using these styling equipments then try using them in cold setting, which might take a longer time but it will at least retain the moisture. Try using hair products with protein in them to help your hair.
Just drink some water. Drink all the water if you can. Water is that magical potion that can save you from any disease.
